Non-updateable but "viewable" ole-container

Hi, All

I need to provide a way to view read-only documents, stored in BLOB field. I use ole-container item.

The problem is when the item is non-updateable (via block or item properties) it's also non-activateable. Is there any way (besides using database priviledges) to activate read-only Ole item?
