Non-sequential DNs to support migration from existing non-BCM system

Hello-

I did a quick search and didn't readily find a previous post on this topic. We're migrating from a basic non-BCM system to a BCM450, and management would like to retain the existing extension numbering scheme, which is non-sequential but all within the BCM default 3-digit DN scheme. Can I non-sequentially map BCM450 digital extension ports to DNs arbitrarily?

For example, lets say the default DN numbering on the new BCM is 100,101,102,103... can those be changed to 100,125,137,171...?

A related question...I need to create roughly 10 call groups for a bunch of departments, with each group containing an arbitrary number of individual extensions/DNs. Can an arbitrary DN be assigned to the group itself? I am assuming we could set aside a block of DNs in the upper 100s for that purpose (say 180-199) allowing for future growth.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yes, & yes.

DN's can be changed easily as long as the leading digit doesn't conflict with anything (to use 1XX's you'll have to change the park prefix).

You can create hunt groups which ring a number of phones, and I believe the hunt group DN can be dialed from any phone.
