I recently asked this question here and got some helpful hints, however, they did not solve the problem. In my VFP 3.0 (I am unable to upgrade for this project) program I have an edit box I am using to display, search and edit a memo field. My search program works just fine except when the 'found' string is out of view (below the edit box borber). The 'found' string is highlighted, but I have to use the scroll bars in the edit box to get to it. The text will not automatically scroll to the selected string. Is this normal or am I just over looking something? I was told in my earlier post that VFP 6 would cure my problems, but I am bound to 3.0 for this project. Any help will be very much appreciated.
Rick

Ya that was me :( And you tried SetFocus() and the control's Refresh() right? What about KEYBOARDing to it programmatically instead of manually?
Maybe your code block will help here.

John Durbin
John,
Thanks for replying again. This thing has me at wits end. I tried KEYBOARDing into the edit box, but it still behaves the same. It doesn't seem to matter how I enter it still will not scroll automatically. To prove to myself it can be done, I used Control F from the keyboard to do a search in the edit box and it works great that way. Unfortunately, due to some other criteria I must meet I can't use that method in the finished product. I even tried inserting a KEYBOARD '{pgdn}' to achieve the scroll, but I was unable to get it to fire at the right location. Again, thanks for the continued help. I think maybe my aged brain has taken a vacation on this one.
Rick
