I have a report that runs fine on v8.5.

I need to convert it to V9 or later.

I have a formula field:

@difference = {#RTEstGrp2}-Sum ({@Actual}, {pc00300.zTaskID})

This works fine in V8.5 - when opening report in V9 - I get.........

a summary has been specified on a non-recurring field. Details: @difference

I am suppressing the detail section and displaying sum totals for the records and subtracting estmates - actuals to equal difference.....

Any guidance would be appreciated......

Check out what {@Actual} actually is. Probably it is something that depends on more than one detail line, meaning you cannot then do a second summary.

If {@Actual} is a group, you can do the summary total at a higher level, maybe the whole report.

The use of Crystal's automated totals is outlined at FAQ767-6524. They can save you a lot of time once you learn their possibilities.
