Non Postscript printing

Can anyone please explain to me, or point me in the right direction where I can find documentation for this.

How can I do a direct IP print from HP-UX to an Epson DFX-8500 printer?

Is the printer on a network or connected directly to your machine?

The printer is on the network. I actually have the correct facts now. The problem is not that we can't do a direct IP print to it, it's that the format of the forms that SAP sends is not kept in the output. Since HP-UX doesn't have printcap, we can't use ghostscript to pass the correct format to the printer.
