Any one used an online ordering vendor that is not NCR? NCR has irritated me to no end with their lack of support for ATO, ATO Lite (Order Manager), etc... I recently had a phone call with olo.com to see what their service was all about. It sounds good, but would like to see if anyone else has used them ( or others ), and their experiences / pros / cons/ etc...

Thanks!

Hard to believe NCR irratated you. Never heard that before. Most of the ones I have seen ending up using a fax or email to send you order. For the email, they leave outlook open, have a rule setup to print anytime email comes from the online company. Printer is a small footprint Hp1101. Works very well. I can put you in touch with person who designed and manages this site They have IP printer at each location that will print the order when placed online. Same Hp printer using an Hp service

Also check out Grubhub, and Eat 24

Problem is that I am a large chain and need an integrated system (or almost like OLO). Fax or email to site is out of the question. OLO uses Connect to communicate, but uses an above store CC processing, so you will not see it in EDC.

To use ATO, we would have to ask our franchisees to purchase new hardware - up to 2 new terminals (P1530's) - and that cost in total is not something you want to know.

Try TakeOut Technologies. Their website says they do Aloha. I do a lot of POSitouch with them. Good folks. If an order doesn't go through they call it in or can fax or email it in.

We have about 30 sites that utilize OLO currently. It works pretty good and integrates with ATO and Aloha.

Also you are able to manage your own online menu from there as well I believe.

You can always purchase refurb 1530's. All you need to run OLO is plenty of storage space on your terminals and a non foh/boh machine.

Recommendation would be 1515 or higher with atleast 1 gig storage space available and 512mb RAM and a good BOH machine.
Ultimately 1530's would be ideal as they are the better machine and will have a lot more life than a 1515 but we have OLO running on PAR terminals even and they are super slow.

I strongly recommend biting the bullet and getting 1530's as they are ready for EMV cards and can support Aloha 12.3 and above.

You think 1530's are expensive try XR7's

How are the 1530s ready for EMV cards? Isn't EMV capability based on the software version ? Please elaborate.

6.7 is compatible and 12.3 is compatible. They weren't going to support 6.7 but they realized how many people were on it lol
