I have MM/MSS and I have a user that does not want his mailbox to take messages while he is out. I changed his mailbox to what I thought would work by selecting No to voicemail enabled and now I don't get his greeting anymore I get the company greeting. What am I missing? Thanks

You don't seem to be missing anything. That is the way it works. If the user is out then they can record a absent greeting and make sure that they tell the users not to leave a message but to call a different number.

You can also change the COS so that by putting one message in the mailbox it will be full and then the greeting will play but no messages can be left.
