Hi all,

New member here with a question. As I'm finally entering the world of building my own website I have a question that is driving me bonkers.

I'm trying to make a rollover button with Photoshop/Imageready. I can get it all to work right up until I need to save the file and I get a message saying:

Some names of the files being saved contain non-Latin characters. These file names will be incompatible with some Web browsers and servers.

What this means is I can get it to preview fine in Internet Explorer but Safari doesn't like it. As I use Safari I'd prefer it to work! I have no idea what characters are causing the problem. I can't find any info in the help button/Adobe website and really hope some here will be able to explain this to me.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,

Taking that error message in context I would assume it means that the filename you are giving it contains non latin characters and won't show up in some browsers b/c they won't be able to tell what the filename is or where to find the file. What are you trying to name this as?

Hmm, just got it to work and don't think I did anything different!

File names-wise, I have tried every combination. Spaces, no spaces, hyphens, underscores, one letter etc. So not sure what was causing the problem!

Just figured it out. I was saving the files into a folder with a Bullet Point (•) at the start. No Bullet Point, no problem.

You have no idea how pleased I am!
