Hi,
I have this need. I want to know what filesets are not of the default installation.
Maybe it's something impossible but let me explain why I need this.
Let's say os 5.3 with ml 2 has been installed. Then I need to install, for example, oracle but in order to do this i need:
- fileset a
- fileset b
- fileset c

In this way I know what filesets were not the default ones. So if I have a new server with aix 5.3 ml 2, I know that I need those filesets in order to install oracle or what else.
Thanks.

P.S: sorry for all these postings. I need to do DR and I have to find the fastest and most reliable solution in order to do the recover.
One possibility is to have a blank system (without os) and then restore everything from mksysb and savevg images (but how long does this take?? I have 4 systems, so I think lot of time!)
Another possibility is to have the systems with a "standard os" and then restore applications. In this case I have same hostname, network configuration, vg/lv but I need to install/restore the applications (so users, directory installations, MISSING FILESETS, user limits and so on)...

do a mksysb all filesets that are part of rootvg on orignal server will restored to DR server
