Hi guys,

Got a weird scenario :

We made a LUN on our DS6800 , and made it available to the 2 Fibrechannel adapters of each of our 2 test servers.we divided the volumes into 2 volumegroups, both volumegroups are known to both servers ( nodes of a HACMP cluster ).VG1 is to be active on node 1 and VG2 on node 2.I specifically created the volumegroups as non-concurrent, but I'm able to varyon them on both nodes at the same time, mount the same filesystems and so on.Any one a suggestion how I can get the VG's non-concurrent?

thx in advance,

regards,

R.

What flags to the varyonvg command are you running? It is possible to varyon any VG on multiple systems at the same time if you use the proper flags. Basically you can turn off the locking mechanisms.

I use "varyonvg VGname" without special flags.I know that with the -u you can unlock the VG.
