I am running a network using a Windows 2000 Server (SP3) as a domain controller, Windows XP Pro (SP 1)as the desktop operating system, Office XP (Pro and SBE) and McAfee 7.0.
It has been noticed that random documents remain in the "open" status on the server when the user has closed them down on their PC. These documents have to be manually closed on the server before a user can access them again. This is becoming a major hassle.
I have posted this question on the Windows XP forum as I think that the problem lies within the interaction between XP and Server 2000. Is this the case? and if so does anyone know of any known problems?
Thank you in advance for your help !!!
