I'm an Avaya user...but someone asked me how to transfer within Cisco's voicemail system. They are calling a location after hours - get the main greeting, and want to be able to transfer to an internal extension - how do they do that? I have no other information. Thanks in advance.

not sure what you mean by greeting
is it AA
is it a voice mail box greeting
any way here is my 2 cents of thoughts
if the greeting is auto attendant greeting, then they should e able to dial by name or ext
if the greeting is just an announcement, then they do not have the option

if the greeting is a voice mail box greeting, then they can dila zero followed by the ext one shut
example
if the ext is 9876
then they should dial 09876 one shut
hope that help

Which Cisco VM system? Unity Connections? Unity? Unity Express? Does the system permit dialing to an extension after hours? More info would be helpful.
