We are implementing a CS1000E and have the number of TDM ports (digital phones, CallPilot, analog CO trunks, PRI) greater than the number of DSP resources.

I need to know if there is a way to make some components of a cabinets non blocking and others standard i.e. reserve DSP for external lines for example in a non blocking way and let the internal lines use the unreserved DSP within the same IPMG (MGC DSP daughterboards or MC32/MC32S media cards).

Thanks.

A whole cabinet is going to be blocking or non blocking. Your Vendor should be able to tell you what your grade of service is on your current configuration.

However much like an OPT11 intra cabinet calls are always non blocking and DSP resources will only be used for intercabinet calls.
