Hi,

We've provided a wireless solution to a client that currently has an Avaya IP Office IP400 running 4.2.12 with wired IP terminal.
I've a couple of questions I hope someone can help me with:

Is it possible to use non Avaya SIP terminal with an IP400?

If it is, is anyone aware what SIP Wifi vendors handsets are know to work? (Not DECT)

If any of this is possible, is the IP Office licensed on a per SIP terminal basis, regardless of the terminal vendor type?

I'm trying to avoid having to use an Asterisk box and SIP trunks to use another vendors wifi handsets.

Thanks in advance!

There is no IP400, that is an expansion module. It will either be a 406v2 or a 412 but that's beside the point, if you upgrade the system to R5 software then you can add SIP endpoints but each will require a "Third party IP endpoint licence" adding to the system

ACS - IP Office Implement

"What the Crocodile Hat....was that?

And third party WiFi SIP endpoints will work but QoS cannot be guranteed without the use of Spectralinks voice priority processor and avaya branded spectralink handsets.
