I've got an MVP130-FXS and am trying to get it registered with the IPO. I do have the 3rd party endpoint licenses.

I get in the system log of the IPO: no user name or extension number supplied. I can't find anywhere in the MultiVoip to supply this.
I have put the ip address of the MVP130 on the extension/VOIP tab.
Any other tweaks I'm missing?

It depends on what signalling protocol you use, in this box you can select for H.323 or SIP.
If you have IP Office running on 5.0 then i strongly advise to use SIP as the IP Office supports T.38 fax in this release.
You must create a extension and a user before trying to register the ATA.
Read the manuals for registering SIP extensions:

SIP is not an option in this case, thanks though.

I know it's doable, there's posts here on Tek-Tips that's it's been done. Come on guys!

Do you mean to setup a fax server?

I think you need to give more info, version/ipo?

Use the "Incomming Call Route" to route the call to an internal number.

So if you Dial 12345 from the MultiVoip add an ICR with 12345 as incomming number, and set a destination. A huntgroup or even VMPro.

No, you are misunderstanding. The MutiVOIP is an H.323 station, native to the IP Office.

Bas, that will not work, IP sets even third party don't follow incoming call routes :)

JayNEC, give us a run down of what you have in the IP Office, licence and programming, routes etc and what you have in the endpoint also :)

The MultiVoip is it connected as an IP trunk of an IP endpoint?

It should be as an ipset and not as a trunk !!!

I have done it long ago with a ATA188, connecting as a IP set gave some problems with registering to the gatekeeper.
Connecting as a IP Line went fine.
I see no reason why this box can't work as ip set, unfortunally i don't have such a ata otherwise i would have tried it.

Correct. I am trying to make it register as an IP set/endpoint. Not a trunk.
