nokia SIP extension and using the contacts

is it possible to assign the trunk access code i.e 9 somehwere when using your mobile devices contacts while you are in SIP mode?

I know if you are running the ME application on the phone the ME server actually prepends the number with the access digit, configurable on the server

if you don't use ME application though how on earth can a user use his/her mobile in SIP mode and select numbers from his/her contacts?

any ideas? have looked but can't find a setting on the phone
