Hi,

Does anyone know how to get the E61 to work with mail for exchange.

I've exported the certificate, converted to DER binary encoded.

It's installed on the handset no errors.

Only when I when I click to sync , the handset freezes and nothing happens, no errors, it just locks up and the only way I can recover the handset is switching it off.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and how to resolve it.

Nokia refuse to support SBS selef signed certificates and T-Mobile don't seem to be able to help much.

any ideas?

thanks 1DMF

In the end i uninstalled the exchange software and went to nokia website and downloaded the one there, where through the install and now it isn't hanging.

Howerver, I am now getting
untrusted certificate received from server, contact your adminitrator

Well i've rung myself and I cannot give myself any further advise, can anyone here.

I've exported the server certificate, i've converted it to DER Binary format, it installed on the phone no errors.

Why won't it accept the certificate given from the server?

Is there somewhere I can check what certificate the server is supply , compared to the one i've installed?

this is driving me nuts!

ok, it seems the CA self signed certificate was not the certificate OWA was using, so I changed the OWA to the self signed CA certificate , only now i'm getting an "error in communication" error.

checking the log file it shows....

"a field in the handshake was out of range or inconsistent with other fields"

yet OWA works fine with the certificate via the handset with web'n'walk and our VPN uses the certificate fine as well, so i'm stumped!

Thanks, we're gonna send the handsets back, Nokia won't support SBS 2003 and we can't be doing with the hastle and wasted time already.

We're going to get WMD (Windows Mobile Devices) instead, these Nokia's are too much trouble.
