Not in a server room but in the corner of an office - is there anyway of chilling the fans down a bit so they aren't so noisy - everyone is whinging - like it's *my* problem!

If it's similar to our 2650 PowerEdge try taking off the blue parts of the fans. The fans still work but that annoying whine is gone! Edmée de Klerk

Just got one of these machines.

On checking bios I found a setting for the fan

Full or Noise Reduced

This may make life more happier in the office.
