We have 8 analog phone lines (801-808) plugged into two 408 GS/LS-ID-MLX cards. All the extensions have continous noise while selecting line 802. Its fine if any other line is selected. I checked the phone line and its fine. This noise is generated after connecting to the PBX only.

Can you experts please help me to troubleshoot this?

Try temporarily plugging line 802 into another open line port or to keep it simple swap it with a known good line port - and test it at the operator phone. If any line connected to 802 causes the noise - you have a bad line port. You can try resetting just that line port and or the whole module in maintenance - to see if it makes a difference. If not - and the problem is the port - either skip that port and/or get a replacement module.
