Customer has weekly conference calls with up to 15-16 external callers all calling into the conf on a analogue speaker/conf phone. This is the only internal ext in the conf. When the 14-15th caller comes into the conf a screeching noise is heard making it impossible to continue the conf, this continues regardless of how many callers drop out. No VCM in IPO, all hardware has been replaced , main unit, PRI card, expansion units havent been replaced and at the next conf I will try using a DT phone.
Could this noise be related to the power?
System uses 24V dc 1.875amp PSU's???????????????

why is there no vcm? they don't have voicemail? put 1 in just to test things out....

They did have a vcm, but was removed when other site shut down, they run VM Pro, conf call comes in thru this

Greg you don't need a VCM for voicemail.

Let us know what happens with the DT phone, but I doubt that's the problem. Have you asked Avaya about the problem (I know I know but sometimes they have info we don't)?

we had a simmilar problem once, I suspect that you either have a poorly fitted ISDN card in the IPO or the IPO itself is faulty

Use the upgrade wizard to verify your digital and especially the pots mod are at the latest build as the 406 controller, that might do it.

Look toward the PRI card, it has caused simular issues when the card is bad or was damaged durring installation.

Noise on Conference calls.
IP403 V2.1.15, DT 30,

This is probably not much help but I have the same problem and thought it might be the result of a firmware upgrade.

Conference call seem to work fine when we first put it in but with 1.90? of firmware.

Considering reverting to an earlier version since have other issues. But need to establish the best revison of version 2.0

IMHO currently the best version of 2.0 available is 2.0.18

This may change when Avaya releases a soon due maintenance patch for 2.1
