For Photo-Paint 10 (maybe 11, too):
-When I draw a Path (with the Freehand tool), the slower I draw it the more nodes are (automatically) inserted. Is this normal or no?
-And the 2nd question: is it possible to get rid (delete or smth else) of nodes (except the 1st and last) AND preserve the shape of the path?

I am assuming you are refering to Draw instead of Paint. When you draw with the freehand tool, the number of nodes will increase. In version 11, these auto-reduce to a more appropriate number. Depending on your path, you can only remove so many nodes before you loose the shape. I have found it is often easier to use the Bezier Tool, and put in the appropriate number of nodes in key locations, then bend the lines, and adjust the curves to fit my overall shape. This often times works easier than trying to clean up a freehand drawing (or tracing). Hope that helps.

1- it depends on the freehand smoothing option

the higher the less nodes you will get

teh less more nodes

this option can be found on the freehand option, the most left

it is normal when you slow down< more nodes

2- yes you can, by select any node you don't want

then press delete :)

there is another way , but only works if you had a low setting in the free hand smoothing option (10 or less)

then select the curve, all nodes then go to smoothing option

slide to a higher number to see how unwanted nodes is deleted
