Greetings,
This is my problem. When I go into Edit Node and move any of the nodes I have to F5 to see the changes updated. Does anyone know of a setting I might have set accidentally that is not auto updating the window? I have never had to do this before. What a pain this is going to be until I get it worked out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've never used F5 when using vector objects. I just tried and am not sure I understand your question. Are you wanting to exit Node Edit?

mike

Hello mThomas,

No, I am not trying to Exit. This is what I am doing. I can draw a rectangle using the Preset Shapes tool and then go into Edit Node, where I have access to the vector nodes. I can move each node at will, but all I see are the nodes being moved. Until yesterday the line segments linking the nodes would move along with a given node as I dragged it to its new location. Now the line segments disappear or don’t move until I use the short cut key F5 to refresh the canvas.

If I am not clear please let me know and I will try again to explain my problem better.

Thank you for posting a response.

hmmm... when you refresh is everthing the way it is supposed to be? I don't recall there being a way to turn off the lines. I just looked and did not see such an option, nor could I replicate what is happening ( as I understand it ).

Can you please, just to make sure I understand what the problem is, re-explain the issue.

Hi Mike,

LOL Well, since I seem to be having trouble communicating this problem. Maybe these three images will help.

Image one shows an unedited four-node box shape

Image two shows the bottom nodes moved in and up with the box shape unchanged.

Image three shows the results after I refresh the canvas

You see, in the past I have always seen the lines connecting the nodes move at the same time as I drag the node around. That doesn't happen anymore.

This is a very frustrating problem for me. It makes it very hard to trace an outline when the canvas won’t up-date until I manually refresh it.

As always thank you very much for taking the time to try and help. You help me solve this one and I will post as many star ratings as this forum will let.

Hello,
Yes I tried that too.

I am looking into a possible diver issue with my video card. If that is what it turns out to be I will post back.

Thanks for offering help though I appreciate it.

Good news.
I found the problem to be in the video card drivers. The cvideo card is an Ati Radeon 8500LE. Some how they were corrupted. I don't know how.
At least now though I have my node editing back and working.

Fantastic! I'm glad you got the issue resolved!

Happy Holidays...mike
