I use Microsoft Office Professional 2000 and when I try to create a table, query, report etc in Access, using the wizard fuction, nothing happens. Design view or datasheet view works but not the wizard. I have uninstalled and re-installed Office and looked in Microsoft's support. All to no avail.

Any ideas? - Thanks

Thanks for your help but I had already looked at this aspect.

It is the typical bog standard wizard function that doesn't work. When a new database is created a table can be made from design view, entering in data or a using the, I assume, typical wizard. The other 2 options work but the wizard option does not.

Never the less tried out the advice and re-installed office by cusom installation. The 'typical wizard' in Access has 2 small boxes to the left of 'Run all from my computer' and I assume this means that they are installed. Never the less I clicked on this and continued with the custom install but I still can not create a table using a wizard. This missing function has not always been missing

I do not know if it has a bearing or not but have had a cattle recording program that I almost certain runs on an older version of Access. I did wonder if that was interferring and I deleted it, but it has not made any difference.

You are just wonderfull. I had added the small business stuff but I do not need it. Getting rid of it has made the magic work. I had tried Microsoft's support but obviously I was not asking the right questions. Thanks
