I have a server which has the following error in the event log "No Windows NT or Windows 2000 Domain Controller is available for domain". It's repeated again and again?

What OS? If it's 2000, did you DCPROMO a server to control the domain? Are your IP settings correct on your NIC? Is it pulling the proper DNS info?

Hi,

It's a Windows 2000 server running SQL. I have no idea why it's doing this?

Well, you're going to have to explain your situation more. Did it just start happening? Is this a new server? Do you have an AD domain? Do you have other servers? Do they show the same error?

Check your TCP/IP settings on the suspect machine to make sure they're all correct.

The problem has just started happening a couple of week ago. The server was built ages ago and has SP3 and is connected to an AD network. I can VNC to the server, ping the server using it's name but can't see the local shares ie start, run, \\servername\share.
