I just installed Windows media Player Release 9 on a new XP machine. When I play music and right click, I get a list of visualtions. But no matter which one I select nothing happens. There is no visualization.

I am also running WMP Release 9 on my older XP machine and visualizations work fine on that machine.

Old machine WMP = 9.00.00.3354

New machine WMP = 9.00.00.4503

Thank you

Hi,
may not matter, but the current Windows Media Player is Release 11 so why not install that one - it may have new visualizations that work?

Hi Turkbear.

WMP 11 has a different interface for finding and using Internet radio stations. It's not as simple as on WMP 9.

And it actually has at least one less visualization: musical colors.

And as WMP 9 is working on one machine, I really want to understand why it doesn't work on the second XP machine.

Hi,
understood...Have you tried the old uninstall/reinstall trick?
