No Video on Startup

Hello,

I have new pci video card that I want to install.I have disabled the onboard video card and turned it to pci and restarted my computer,Insalled the new card,started up and theres no picture on the monitor.No Beeps,just a black screen.If I remove the new card it starts up regularly,even with the onboard video card disabled.Anyone have any suggestions?

Specs-Intell Celeron cpu
512mb ram
Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2
80gb hard drive

yeah see if theres a jumper on the board to completely disable it instead of using bios. My moms old computer was like that bios disabling didnt work had to be done on the motherboard for it to actually listen.

there are 2 jumpers on the motherboard that have nothing attached to them.could that have anything to do with it?

Look up the manual to your motherboard before touching them as they could go to anything including the processor. Look at your motherboard for make and model then look up the manual and see what it says they are. This way you dont destroy your board.

asus tuw-la that is your motherboard name and model however I am unable to find a manual anywhere. So unless someone else or you can find one I wouldnt touch those jumpers.

ok,Those jumpers are LCDTV output ,and config.that link has pics at the bottom of the page and about halfway down the page also,If that helps any.By The Way Thanks for the help you are providing me,I am very thankfull for all your effort to help me and others in need

You may want to see if you can upgrade the BIOS on this motherboard. The latest BIOS revision might have a better support for disabling the on-board video.
