I checked the memory on my computer one day and since that time it will no longer display anything on screen. It will only show a black screen. I know for a fact that the monitor works b/c I plugged it to another computer. I know for a fact that it's not the video card b/c I put it in another computer and it worked. However, when I plug the monitor to the computer nothing is displayed on the monitor. Could I have damaged the motherboard when I removed the memory? Any comments or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Reseat the RAM.
If no luck, then clean the RAM's contacts and the RAM slots with a soft eraser, and with high purity(91% or higher) alcohol and a soft cloth.
If still no luck, then install just one RAM module at a time.
If no good, then try the RAM in another system. If that system has the same problem, then the RAM is bad(static shock?).
If that system works, then your MB may have been damaged.

Just a nitpick since you didn't mention too many specifics, but make sure the mobo doesn't have integrated video that has somehow been reenabled.

Yes it's dumb, but I know I seem to always forget to check the BIOS to make sure the onboard video is still disabled, and it usually results in a few minutes of headscratching before I remember to check it.
