When I connect to a PC using Remote Desktop, my video display on the remote system comes up as a black screen. I have tried adjusting the screen resolution size and colors to match those set on the remote PC, but nothing seems to work. I am able to connect to the same PC using Remote desktop from another PC.

At one time, using Remote Desktop from this machine was not a problem. I'm not sure if the RDC client is corrupted?

Is there a way to reinstall the RDC client from an XP CD?

Thanks,
Tom

What settings do you have on the "Experience Tab"?

"With the Experience Tab in the Remote Desktop Connection Client, you can enable or disable certain shell enhancements that contribute to overall session performance.

You can disable Shell enhancements such as Desktop Background, Menu and Window Animation, Bitmap caching, Show contents of window while dragging, and Themes to provide higher client performance, or you can enable them when you have sufficient bandwidth."

I have all options checked and my bandwidth is set to 10Mbps or higher.
