Hello,

I got the following error:

No utmpx entry. You must exec "login" from the lowest level "shell". Connection closed.

when I tried to rsh a remote host or entered a login password after opening a telnet session. Please, does anybody there with a tip on how to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance,

Princegbenga.

Check you filesystem. make sure you are not running out of space.

Hi again,

If that doesnt help, your /var/adm/utmpx could be corrupted. I suggest you truncate the file by issuing - "> /var/adm/utmpx".
