NO TASKS LISTED UNDER DATABASE MAINTENANCE

Anyone know why I don't see any tasks listed (such as those listed in the SMS Admin Guide)?
When I pull down Site Database, Site Hierarchy, Site (my site), site settings, database maintenance, tasks...I don't have any tasks to choose from...right clicking tasks does not seem to present any solution...
Anyone have a clue as to what I have done wrong?
HISTORY:
NEW TO SMS
SINGLE DOMAIN NT-4.0 (SP4)
ONE SITE
MULTIPLE SERVERS ON A WAN (FRAME RELAY - 512 MINIMUM)
SMS SERVER STANDALONE (SP6a)
SQL SERVER ON DIFFERENT BOX
95% OF CLIENTS ARE WIN95
Would appreciate any advise, help or comments...

Normally when you cannot see something within the SMS console, it means you do not have the proper security permissions for that object. Check the security rights for the login you are using and see if you have Read and Modify permissions for the Site object.
