No symbols located !!!

Hi, I'm a new user of AI 10 and trying to learn it by a book. At some point the book asks me to select a symbol. But my symbol library seems to be empty. All the other libraries contain AI images. Can someone tell me how to solve this or give me a tip where I can download symbols so I can manually add them to the presets folder?

In your style pallete's pull down menu choose load styles and navigate to your styles folder in you AI install dir. I'd buy a Mac if I could afford one.
