I just loaded the Ellipse 5.2.3.6 client on a pc (I have done many others that are fine). I can log in but when I try and run a MSO program i get a pop-up error

An error occurred when trying to access MSQ000.
System Error is "No such interface supported".

Does anybody have any idea what might cause this?

MSO progs are hosted on the client by the MSQ000.exe process. It needs certain files to be registered on the PC to provide scripting support (three DLLs and an OCX but I don't have the names to hand). If they are missing or not registered you get an error similar to the one you mention (and an entry in either the Application or System log).

I have found that even when these files registered, we get a similar error if the PC has been running for 30+ days. Seems that some process/service has fallen over. A reboot fixes that.

I'll post the file names tomorrow in case a reboot doesn't fix your PC.

As promised the files are:
msscript.ocx
dispex.dll
vbscript.dll
scrrun.dll

We have these in the system32 folder, but there's also a copy of msscript.ocx in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Script\Windows Script Control".

If the files are already there on your faulty PC, try running regsvr32 against each one.

I hope this helps.
