Hello everyone,
I need some help with this. Basically I just installed a SBS2003 server for our network. I did a swing migration and got everythign up and running. I installed SQL server 2000, but before that I mistakenly uninstalled the wMSDE or SQLDE sharepoint(cant remember-late night).
Now I get a constant error every 5 seconds about the STS_config not being able to connect. So I have been reading all the fixes for this (make the sharepoint timer dependant on SQL$SHAREPOINT service).
Here is the kicker---there is NO SQL$SHAREPOINT service listed in my services. I apparently uninstalled them (dumb I know). There is a folder SQL$SHAREPOINT in c:/program files/Microsoft SQL/ and in there I do have the SQL database files, both the sts_config and the servername files.
What do I do now? I cant access the company website and I guess I need to rebuild the sharepoint instance in SQQL 2000 or is it as easy as just reinstalling sharepoint.
How will all this affect the currently installed SQL 2000 server? (i have some critical databases in there)
thanks
Adam
