well, when i import a video clip, and drag itonto the timeline and play it, there's no sound.please help

Some options:

[ul][li]Your speakers are turned off.[/li]
[li]Your computer doesn't have a sound card[/li]
[li]Your computer sound controller has had the WAV output muted[/li]
[li]Your speakers have become disconnected from the back of the computer[/li]
[li]Your speakers have been stolen[/li]
[li]The video clip has no sound[/li]
[li]That layer is muted[/li]
[/ul]

There might be more things, but it's hard to say with essentially no information.

It would be more helpful if you posted details about your system, what you've tried to do so far, what -- exactly -- are you experiencing, etc.

Cheers,

If the say AVI file is compressed with DIVX it may not play due to that AF does not support many DIVX compressed files.
