We have an IPO system with only one remote user who connects via SIP trunk (Flowroute). When someone calls him, the audio works fine in both directions but if they end up in his voicemail, they do not hear the greeting and he does not get any sound in the message (if they wait long enough to start talking for instance). He does receive a silent message via email and on his phone, so it does record. We also have an auto attendant that people access over the the SIP trunk who dial an 888 number. If a caller gets to his voicemail via the auto attendant the audio is fine. I don't know what could be different between the two scenarios and would appreciate any assistance...thanks!

What version of IPO do you have? I ran into this just the other day on my own system using 9.0.3.

FYI, what ultimately ended up fixing my issue was turning my "method for session refresh" from UPDATE to AUTO, if I remember correctly.

Version 8.1. Where is that setting located?

It's on the SIP trunk, but I'm not certain it was in that version.

I think in my version it's "UPDATE Supported" but I set that to Auto and it didn't seem to do anything.

I don't know what it is but I disabled SIP ALG on our touter/firewall and it worked!
