Hi there ! After putting together my movies (AVI) with sound on the timeline I export it as one movie through the adobe MPEG encoder. All seems to work except for the sound. THERE IS NO SOUND ANYMORE ! Can anybody please tell me what I do wrong ?

Another problem is that when I record a movie from my digital video through firewire in dvd quality, one movie is correct and another one gives, so it seem, another format.
There are both recorded the same way and behind each other.
One movie fills the screen and the other shows a black stripe on both sides as if it was recorded in widescreen.

I appreciate your help !

Can I make a sound suggestion that you dump using the Adobe Mpeg encoder in favor of using a more stable encoder.

Tsunami Mpeg Encoder

You can export your AVI with sound and bring it into that program to encode your mpeg file for ya. I find it be more stable, better quality and less buggy with the software.

rene,

Some MPEG exports are elementary streams, which means one file is video and one file is audio.

Be sure that you've checked Audio as well as Video in the export settings.

What, exactly, are your output settings?

Cheers,
