No Shockwave in IE6 1

I cannot get Shockwave to function in IE6 even with my security settings at their lowest. The installation went fine and works well in Firefox 1.0. I have tried the standalone installer but still no joy even after removing and re-installing. The plugin is showing OK in the Plugins directory in IE6. I also have Flashplayer which works OK. I have also tried the programme to reset the registry in case Shockwave had been disallowed. I am now at a loss and could use some advice if anyone can help
