No Save dialog box on close

Hi folks,

One of my staff, who allegedly has done nothing to her machine, has said that it has spontaneously stopped displaying the 'Document changed - do you want to save?' type dialog box when closing a file in Word 97. I've looked through the options but cannot find anything to suggest how to bring it back.

I'd appreciate any help on this,

I saw this happen about two years ago -- I think I fixed it by reinstalling Word.
