I'm have never gotten my windows and linux clients able to ping each other. When I attempt to ping one another, the lights on my hugs flash, as if data is being sent, but then I get an error message on my Linux box (when pinging my win98 box)

What does the Linux error message say? What IP addresses and netmasks are assigned to the Linux box and the Windows boxes?

It sounds like this is probably a fairly easy problem to solve, and the requested info will help a lot :)
