CPU: Intel P IV 2 GHZ; RAM: 512 MB, Disk controller: Adaptec 2940 UW III - CHIPSET 7877; Hard Disk: 2 disk Quantum Atlas; OS: SCO Openserver 5 version 5.0.5. I tried to install with the next data in boot: prompt: defbootstr Sdsk=alad(0,0,0,0) link=alad, and, later I enter defbootstr hd=Sdsk Sdsk=alad(0,0,0,0) link=alad, and, the message changed for No Sdsk SCSI device configured (missing unit 0).

you probably want a different btld (ad160?) but you should not be installing 5.0.5 on a P4. You will need 5.0.6a as a minimum for the P4.

I've heard the same thing about P4's.

It looks to me like you should be using "link=alad325" instead of "link=alad". How is your CD-rom drive attached (Same SCSI controller, Different SCSI controller, Onboard IDE)? You may need to include the correct link for the CD-rom drive in the bootstring to be able to access it.

Here's where you find the SCO drivers:

Here's the SCO install instructions:

I changed my processor to Intel P3 866 MHZ, SCSI controller is now AHA-2940UW/LA, and, I have now two Panic message: k_trap - Kernel mode trap type 0x0000000E, DOUBLE PANIC: k_trap - double fault trap type 0x00000008. I just enter link on boot: prompt, and, alad & alad325

Make sure you download adaptec's drivers from the link above, then try this at the boot prompt:

defbootstr link="alad325"

What do you have for your CD-Rom?
