No ringback on IP trunks

We have a main facility with IP trunks to two other facilities. Calls to facility A work fine...the caller hears ringback and everything. For calls to facility B, the caller hears no ringback....just dead silence, but the called party does. I have gone through the signaling groups to bothe facilities and trunk settings and have made them identical in all aspects. On the far side, I have made facility B's settings in the signaling group and trunk also to be identical. Anyone have any idea as to why ringback is not heard when calling the main facility to facility B?

Just FYI, when facility B calls the main facility, they do hear ringback. Also, when facility A calls facility B, they hear ringback.

I had exactly this problem once.

It turned out to be a gateway problem.

The gateway on one C-lan card that was used to create the IP trunks was incorrect. Up until then, all of the network destinations that it needed to communicate with were on it's own network, so no one noticed that it wasn't programmed correctly.

After I changed the gateway, everything worked perfectly.

If it's not a network gateway problem, you might have a problem where your network gateway doesn't have a complete routing list of networks.

Have your network overlords check on the network router that your C-Lan card uses as a gateway. It may need an explicit route to the network at the main site.
