Dear sir

we are using IPS 2000 telecom system in our factory. In which some of the analog stations are not getting ring tones even we changed new LC cards for them. Also changed telephone instruments too for them. But the problem remains as it is. Request for advise or solution through MAT works for getting them rectified for which we will be very thankful.

kind regards

Are all the faulty phones in the same PIM as the ring current is generated by the power supply so my guess would be a faulty PSU.

If you have some technical ability and can use a volt ohm meter, set it to measure AC voltage. Connect the leads to the GN and RD leads of one analog phone that is not ringing. Call the phone. You should see around 90VAC. If not, then it is most likely the power supply in that PIM/Cabinet.

Thanks for your reply and it was found that PSU is faulty by service engineer and it has been replaced by new one. Thank u once again
