Recently the restore selections disappeared on the restore section. How does the tape catalog and previous jobs that have completed show which days are able to select for restore?

In the devices slot, just right click on a tape and select CATALOG.

You will have to recatalog each tape.

Even though I catalog the back-up tapes I still can not see any restore selections. Any ideas?

What version of BE are you using?
Are these backups that were done recently?
Were they done using the same version of BE?
Were they done on the BE server that you are using for the restore?
What account was used to do the backups? Is it the same account you are logged in as?
Are you an administrator in BE?

Do the tapes have backups on them? Are you sure?

-SQLBill

Stop the BE services.

go into c:\program files\veritas\backup exec\nt\catalogs directory and delete the betopcat.* files.

Start the services - check your restore selections.
