no records on second page when using linefeet

I use CR 8.5, SQL 2k and ASP.

The scenario:
A table cell is filled in from several functions, formatted after every entry with a line feed (chr(10)) to get it clear and have passages.
The report gets the data into a memo field.
So everything looks fine - but:
At the second page (when there are many records) the line feed (and as well every not printable characters) isn't known. Instead of the records there are blank lines.

I don't like to use subreports...

Any help here is greatly appreciated!
