Hello everyone,
I get an error message "record(s) cannot be read; no read permission on 'MSysACEs'" when converting non-protected back-end database from Access97 to Access2003.
I get the same message for table MSysObjects.

Eventually, Access2003 converts the database, but why am I getting the messages?

Thanks.

Evalesthy,
thanks for responding.

However, the back-end database I convert is non-secure (I can open the database without a Login window).
I don't think it applies to my situation.

Thanks.

Evalesthy,
thanks again for responding.

I have checked the link you provided.
Very interesting.
However, I am converting a back-end database which has no code. Decompilation doesn't help in my case.

Thanks.
