In my activeX viewer it is not prompting me for the parameters I set up in design view . Am I missing a setting somewhere ???

Can I have a bit more information? Like your version of Crystal, and the type of parameters? (I'm assuming your parameters are used in your selection criteria, and you're prompted for their values in designer.)

Okay, well, I'm going to be unavailable for a good while, so I'm going to pitch you some help based on a load of assumptions.

I'm guessing that you're using a later version of Crystal than v6. This was a known issue in version 6 where any parameters other than string wouldn't prompt as expected when using ActiveX.

I'm thinking that you set the parameters in designer and probably included them in the selection criteria. I guess the reason the ActiveX viewer hasn't prompted you for values is because it's inheriting values from where you set up the parameters in CR.

You most likely need to set the parameter values to none in the parameter tab or CR.

Hope this helps you out.

Hi, Naith

I used CR8.0 designer and it will prompt well in desinger. I used Seagate info 7.0 info Desktop to post the report onto web. I use IE5.00

The parameter was used in the record selection.

Yes, when I used the SEagate info7.0 info Desktop, it will prompt me to choose the default value of the parameter.
so in ActiveX viewer, it uses the default value without prompting user input.

If I don't set the default value, I can't post.

Any idea? thanks.
