I have an HP LJ 2055dn network printing failure. I have configured the print server (Windows 2008) for the shared printer. I can PING the printer, which on the printer VLAN from the print server successfully. All other printers print fine. When I print a test page from the print server, the queue briefly shows the job with the number one, but then it dissappears, as if the job was successful. I reloaded the HP provided drivers; fail. No workstations can successfully print a test page but they can PING successfully. I recreated the port on the printer queue; fail. I have a link light on the printer NIC. There was an issue with the last octect of the printer IP containing a leaidng zero in the 4th octet, in this zero client environment. We changed all printers 4th octet to omit the leading zero, which was successful, except this printer. We can't ping any printer if we ping it with the leading zero in the 4th octet present.

Additional information: Environment hybrid fat/thin client network. All workstations, thin or fat are Windows XP SP2.

Resolved: I recteated the port as a standard TCP/IP port, which proved successful.
