When I open a word document within the Internet Explorer (6.0), the print preview is not available in the File-menu on an Win XP SP2 pc.
When I do the same on a Win 2000 SP4 pc, the print preview is available!
Opening the document in word, print preview is possible on both systems. Also when browsing normal HTML pages, the print preview is available.

Can anybody help me how to enable this on XP?

This is not the issue. In the MS KB article the print preview in internet explorer does not respond when clicking on it, but in my case, the print preview option is not available in internet explorer. Doing the same on a W2K pc, then the print preview is available.

My XP SP2 also does not have a print preview button. It does, however, have a button labelled "Edit with Microsoft Office Word", which, when clicked, gives you a toolbar with a print preview button.
