No Places Bar in Open File Dialog?

When using the ActiveX control "Common Dialog Control version 6.0.", how does one disable the "Places Bar". By the way, this control is the "open file" dialog box.

Looks like it may require a registry hack...not real elegant especially on systems that are running pre-Win2k OS's There's a pretty detailed article of the relevant registry keys and a particular method of customizing the "Places Bar" in the link I am providing.

As suggested in thread1254-805432, a simpler alternative to the ActiveX control is to use the VFP Common Control class.

[COLOR=blue]THISFORM.olecontrol1.lnoplaces = .T.[/color]

achieves what you need.
