I'm in the same boat as others, a person left without sharing the caroot password. I have searched for the solution, many say run authsetup /p to set the password to blank. Below is what I get. I am logged on as local administrator. Any suggestions?

C:\Program Files\ComputerAssociates\ARCserve>authsetup /p
AuthSetup : Initializing the authentication database
AuthSetup : Password =******( )
AuthSetup : Domain services are running.
